Lion King Bush Camp and Safaris is owned by Nahim Khalil, whose journey began twenty-five years ago when he established a camp in Samburu National Reserve.

A licensed safari guide born on the Kenyan coast, Nahim spent several years traversing the mountains of the Matthew’s Range on foot, immersing himself in the daily lives of the Samburu people. He speaks several Kenyan languages, which enables him to bridge cultural gaps and engage deeply with local communities in a way that few ever experience. Nahim has also spent extensive time in Western Kenya, Nairobi, Lamu, and the more remote northern regions. Anyone who meets Nahim will agree that he is a master storyteller, captivating you with his tales and keeping you entertained for hours. He is an enthusiastic follower of current affairs and has diverse interests spanning politics, conservation, history, art, archaeology, and design. Most importantly, he enjoys connecting with guests from all walks of life and sharing some of Kenya's hidden gems via lesser-known paths.

Nahim organizes off-the-beaten-path safaris throughout Kenya, with a particular fondness for exploring lesser-known routes. His safaris offer an experience shaped by a genuine love for his homeland, well beyond the bounds of ordinary tourist trails.
